Wytwórnia Sprzętu Komunikacyjnego ‘PZL-KALISZ’ S.A. performed EPOCA Project connected with INNOLOT program entitled ‘Onboard and ground equipment power supplying and controlling device’ since December 2013, on the basis of contract no. INNOLOT/I/1/NCBR/2013 of 18 December 2013, in cooperation with Lublin University of Technology, Institute of Power Engineering, Ceramic Department CEREL – Boguchwała. The project concerned developing innovative power supply and control system for aircraft high-power piston engine with electronic ignition and combustion system. Development and implementation of innovative ignition and combustion system will contribute to:
- Reduction of harmful exhaust components emission
- Increase of aircraft safety due to implementation of new elements of control system and electric power supply
- Increase of competitiveness on market
- Possibility of using ignition and combustion system while engines modernizing process
- Possibility of using light fuel cell stacks construction of SOFC type
The Project ended on 31st December 2017.
